Some Games We Like
We think its important to let you know that we are gamers ourselves... and also to help support the games we love, as we hope you will support ours. We are fairly confident that there aren't any other games out there like ours, but even if there were - if it were any good, we'd support them as well! So here is a list of some of our favorite games of all time, with links to purchase them, if you'd like to try them out yourself:
- The Settlers of Catan - One of the best selling games of all time. Its a resource management game, wherein you collect resources based on dice rolls and trading, and use those resources to purchase upgrades to your settlement. Its a 3-4 player game, but expansion packs are available for 5-6 player games, as well as modifying game play.
- Dixit - An absolutely beautiful description game, based on cards that depict only images of strange and complex scenes. The object is to describe a card with enough detail as makes sense, but not enough to just give it away immediately. Then the other players choose a card that they think matches your description, and they are all pooled together. Then they are flipped over, and it is up to the other players to choose the card they think was yours. Its very similar to Cards Against Humanity, but in a new twist of a way.
- Carcasonne - This is a great 2-5 player game, though many of our plays have been just 2 player. Its one of those great games that CAN be played as 2 players, without it being totally predictable.
